Research In Motion Introduces New BlackBerry 7 Smartphones In The Caribbean

Waterloo, ON - Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced the launch of three BlackBerry® 7 smartphones for the Caribbean region. The new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900, BlackBerry® Torch™ 9860 and BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 are expected to be available from carrier partners in the major markets of the Caribbean starting mid-October.

Featuring RIM’s next generation of hardware and software platforms, the new BlackBerry 7 based smartphones offer users a variety of designs to choose from and deliver the ultimate in communications, multimedia and productivity.

The new BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone ever, offering a large keyboard and brilliant touch display. The BlackBerry Torch 9860 introduces an all-new, all-touch design featuring the largest display on a BlackBerry smartphone to date. The new BlackBerry Torch 9810 builds on the popularity of the BlackBerry Torch 9800 and combines a large touch display with a convenient slide-out keyboard.
